Section Foreman

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Section Foreman is responsible for managing the mining/setup crew in the underground coal mining section safely and efficiently, following all MSHA approved mining plans and laws. Duties will include, Pre-shift/On-shift of working areas, cutting coal with a crew of 6 to 8 miners in advancing and/or retreat mining with a Continuous miner and Mobile Roof Supports, power and belt moves, equipment maintenance, and other duties as directed.

Requirements

Candidates must have excellent safety and attendance records. Must have a minimum of 4 years mining experience in the mining section with Fireboss and preferably Foreman papers. Electrical certification is preferred but not required.

Interested applicants must have up-to-date 32-hour training, be capable of regularly lifting 50 pounds and work rotating shifts and weekends as assigned.
